Join with Deacon colleagues across the United Methodist connection for a weekend of "Open Space" conversations, support and networking, fellowship, and worship - with a rich diversity of deacon presenters and topics. Experience all of this in the beautiful mountains of Western North Carolina at Lake Junaluska Conference and Retreat Center.

In the current 'season' for the United Methodist Church - full of ministry challenges, social media 'noise', and an uncertain future - it is vital and necessary that the UMC Order of Deacons gather to remember our roots and core values, celebrate our diversity and callings to ministry, examine the direction of the UM 21st Century Diaconate and its emerging forms and settings for ministry, and to reaffirm our Ordination vows.

This "Gathering" is being hosted by the Southeastern Jurisdiction Orders of Deacons in collaboration with representatives from several other UM Deacons Orders, and generously supported by GBHEM, the General Board of Higher Education and Ministry - Division of Ordained Ministry. 1.0 CEUs
